Up Aquatics was formed six years ago with the mission to build a world-class aquatic facility. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit, calling ourselves a grassroots movement. We've been searching for the right partner and project and have found one with the West Fargo School District.
The West Fargo School District asked voters to approve a bond referendum on November 17 for $98.1 million. Voters said 'yes' to the project which includes an aquatic center. The Hulbert Auqatic Center will be located at the existing Berger Pool and include a warm down teaching pool and a 54 meter pool for competition.
The Hulbert Aquatic Center will soon be the home to the finest indoor swimming venue in the Upper Midwest. Consisting of a 54 Meter Competition Pool, and a Warm-Water Lessons/Therapy Pool, the Hulbert Aquatic Center is going to leave a healthy, long-lasting impact on thousands of kids and adults!
Located at L.E. Berger Elementary School in West Fargo, North Dakota, contruction of the Hulbert Aquatic Center will begin in early 2016 with an anticipated completion date of November 2017.
UP Aquatics, a local, grass-roots nonprofit organization dedicated to the world of swimming and aquatics, has been working with numerous groups in the region since 2007 in hopes of bringing this type of facility to fruition.
The naming is in recognition of the contribution from Steve and Diane Hulbert in memory of their daughter, Heidi Hulbert Rowe (March 22, 1969 – March 30, 2004).
Financial partners of all levels are critical to the success of the Hulbert Aquatic Center!
